Media and Public Relations Intern at Armaa Jerusalem Community Foundation

The Armaa Jerusalem Community Foundation (Armaa) is a community-based initiative located in East Jerusalem. Armaa began in 2014 to respond to the many relevant socio-economic and cultural needs of Jerusalem’s families, children and youth. Armaa’s programme focuses its activities on Education, Children’s Rights/Advocacy, Youth and Women Empowerment, Culture and Voluntary Work.

The Armaa Jerusalem Community Foundation welcomes young Interantional people, especially young women, to take advantage of its internship opportunities in both programs and operations. The internship program aims to provide a practical learning environment for young people, to enable them to gain knowledge and understanding and obtain work experience in the development sector.

Who? Talented people with skills in:

  1. Media and Public Relations: We seek interns to widen Armaa’s reach and increase the interaction with our audience through the use of blogs and social media. The intern should have a background in communication, journalism or public relations, and be skilled with words, both written and spoken.

  2. Essential Skills: We seek creative, energetic and self-motivated individuals. Customer oriented people with strong team working skills and proven ability to handle challenging work load and to work extra hours.

What? Interns will be mentored during their work to fast-track their development. Upon successful completion of the programme, interns will receive a recommendation letter stating that they were able to positively impact on Armaa’s operations.

When? Throughout the year applicants should send a cover letter, attaching a full CV detailing language skills and professional experience. A letter of recommendation from a previous employer is a plus. The application will be addressed within a months.

Where? The internship takes place in East Jerusalem.

Why? It is a great place to do social work, help children and grow as professionals. While working with us you will develop a deep understanding and interpretation of the local issues, which have an important resonance around the world.

Armaa seeks to raise awareness concerning the Palestinian culture and conditions among young international professionals, while availing of their expertise so to have a positive impact on the communities we work with.

  • Term and Conditions: Fixed monthly allowance for food and local travel cost to duty station. The Internship is for six months duration with the possibility of extension.
