NNPC/ESSO International Post Graduate Scholarship Awards 2010

In continuation of Esso Exploration and Production Nigeria Limited (EEPNL) efforts to provide opportunities for developing careers in the petroleum industry, we offer International Scholarships to outstanding Nigerian graduates wishing to pursue post-graduate studies in the underlisted disciplines:

Geosciences
Engineering (Petroleum, Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical,Sub-Sea and Marine)
                                                                        
Essential Requirements:

1.      Must be a graduate from Nigerian Universities with relevant degree.

2.      Candidate should possess a Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of second class upper division in .        any of the engineering and Geosciences disciplines.

3.      Must have provisional admission/accommodation into any reputable university.

Addax Petroleum / NNPC Scholarship in Nigeria 2010 for Undergraduates

Addax Petroleum Development (Nig) Limited invites qualified candidates for its 2009/2010 National Tertiary Institutions Scholarship Awards Scheme in Nigeria.

GENERAL ELIGIBILITY
All Candidates must:
i) be a Nigerian
ii) be a registered, full time 100 level undergraduate in any Nigerian Tertiary Institution
iii) have 5 ‘0′ level credit passes in one sitting including English Language and Mathematics.
NOTE:
Any candidate currently a beneficiary of a scholarship of any kind is not eligible to apply
Dependants of employees of Addax Petroleum are not eligible to apply.
METHOD OF APPLICATION
To qualify for consideration, applicants MUST submit an application with ALL the following information.
A. Surname
B. Other Names
C. Sex
D. Functional Email address and phone number
And attach scanned copies of the original:
i. Admission letter into institution with information on course of study, year of entry and duration.
ii. SSCE/GCE O’level certificate
iii. Evidence of state of origin/local government
iv. School ID card or National ID or Driver’s license or international passport.
APTITUDE TEST
An aptitude test for all applicants will be conducted at the following centres on a later date that shall be communicated to successful applicants through their email addresses.
Applicants should therefore indicate their preferred centre for the test on their applications:

Japan/World Bank Graduate Scholarship Program

The JJ/WBGSP Scholarship provides annual awards to cover the cost of completing a master’s degree or its equivalent.
Value – $ 32,000 per annum.

Grant award period : 1 year
If the academic program is longer than one year, it may be renewed for a second consecutive year or a portion thereof.
Eligibility
 You must be between the ages of 25 and 45.
 Have at least 2, preferably 4 to 5, years of recent full-time professional work experience
 Have a university degree
 Have good health & good character
The scholarship provides benefits for the recipient only, covering:
 Economy class air travel between the home country and the host university at the start of the study program and one return journey following the end of the overall scholarship period
 In addition to the ticket, scholars receive a US $500 travel allowance for each trip
 Tuition and the cost of basic medical and accident insurance usually obtained through the university
 A monthly subsistence allowance to cover living expenses, including books.
Deadline: March 31 every year.
