Role Summary/Purpose

Responsible for managing public tendering process, coordination of quotations for large multi P&L deals and contract review for direct sales.

Essential Responsibilities

Coordinate tendering process with logistics support for the sales team
Validate tender requirements, highlight risks to the commercial team, when it comes to penalties or other aspects of the tender.
Provide policy and process support to sales team on tendering: information collection, country policy research etc.
Coordinate quotations for multi P&L deals, working with the different commercial and pricing teams
Manage internal deal review process of terms and conditions prior to contract signature for direct sales with the commercial, legal and finance teams
Ensure compliance with public procurement requirements when dealing with governments

Qualifications/Requirements

Proficient in use of Microsoft office with speed and accuracy.
Excellent verbal and written communication.
Ability to work under pressure against tight deadlines, getting work right first time.
High level of telephone and customer care skills.
Time Management skills with the ability to work with accuracy and minimum of supervision.
Fluent English
Strong project management skills
Knowledge of local contract and legal requirements

About our Medical Diagnostics business: Medical Diagnostics researches, manufactures and markets innovative imaging agents used during medical scanning procedures to highlight organs, tissue and functions inside the human body, to aid physicians in the early detection, diagnosis and management of disease.

Role Summary/Purpose
The role will be responsible to manage the operational and administrative activities for assigned territory. To plan and develop processes to improve the operational quality and efficiency of Medical Diagnostics business. To supervise the dealers in accordance with company’s policies and objectives. And to work closely with support functions to ensure that revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met. The position reports directly to Commercial Manager Africa.

Essential Responsibilities
Analyze and document business processes and problems.
Obtain and document business intelligence reports.
Develop processes to improve operational quality and efficiency.
Ensure sales target is achieved.
Propose pricing to meet revenue and profitability targets.
Supervise dealers in accordance with company’s policies and objectives.
Work closely with support functions.
Schedule and conduct regular meetings with dealer and support functions.
Develop close relationships with customers and stakeholders.
Ensure productivity and quality goals are met.
Develop and further strengthen the market.
Propose actions and budget to ensure overall success.
Ensure that all activities are done with full compliance.
Ensure that the right Marketing and Commercial Strategies and Tactics are applied
Take the lead in the tender coordination process with the support functions.
Highlight market opportunities in the expansion markets and work closely with the Commercial Operations & Projects Manager.
Qualifications/Requirements
1. Bachelors / Masters Degree in Science. Healthcare and/or Business management related diploma/degree would be an advantage.

Three to five years experience in healthcare/pharmaceutical industry. With a strong sales mentality.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Computer literate with expertise in MS office.
Ability to influence cross-functional teams.
Willingness to travel and to work a flexible schedule.
Fluent in English (other local languages would be considered).

GE Nigeria is looking to recruit a Financial Controller (Africa)

GE is committed to growth and intends to strengthen its accounting function in its Global Business Services (GBS) division. This position will be based in Lagos, Nigeria.

The successful candidate will provide leadership in financial Controls and ensure business, statutory reporting and compliance of GBS operations in Africa.

Essential Responsibilities

Ensure all documentation is compliant with local legislation and GE internal requirements

Track quality and timeliness of the various controllership metrics

Liason between the centre leader and the reporting team in (Head Quarters) HQ.

Ownership of the balance sheet of GBS Africa.

Follow up on stat and tax filing

Filling of monthly/quarterly and annual financial reports

Take ownership of management and statutory reports

Follow up on external audit reports and accounts reconciliation process

Ensure the correct implementation and understanding of the financial rules

Ensure COE transaction for all countries managed centrally are compliant

Ensure system tie out is done regularly

Ensure Self-assessments are done and open items are closed timely

Handle technical queries from the team

Ensure compliance to financial policies and procedures

Qualifications/Requirements

Knowledge of various tax regimes in Africa.

Good communication and analytical skills

Accuracy and attention to detail

Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously & prioritize workload

High level of personal energy

Fluent in English

University or college degree – preferably College of Finance and Accounting

CPA or equivalent

Tax advisory degree is an advantage

Solid Finance background in general accounting, analysis, statutory, US GAAP reporting, with 10- 12 years experience

Experience in multinational environment

Proficiency in Microsoft office

Excellent organisation skills, open mind-set, high self-confidence, self-driven

Team player, service mind-set, excellent interpersonal skills (oral and written communication, good listener & constructive)

Pro-active attitude to continuously find new challenges and deliver good results – Demonstrated ability to plan and manage several assignments at once
