WaterAid is a UK registered international charity dedicated to the provision of safe water, sanitation and hygiene education to the world’s poorest people. We support local organisations to manage low cost, sustainable projects and also provide policy support to secure the right of poor people to affordable water and sanitation services.

To effectively implement our country strategy, WaterAid Nigeria is inviting applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill the following position:

Communications & Campaigns Officer

You will successfully promote and strengthen the profile of WaterAid in Nigeria through the media and other exhibition opportunities, facilitate campaigns for WaterAid key events and coordinate support to Civil Society and Media Networks. You will also lead in the implementation of WaterAid’s communication strategy in Nigeria, ensuring compliance with all branding requirements in the Country Programme.

The requirement for this position is a University Degree in Mass Communications or other relevant Social Science degree. Minimum of 3 years experience is also required.

Office Manager

You will support the Head of People and Organisational Development to successfully deliver on the CP administrative and legal processes. This includes ensuring effective and efficient administrative operations within the Country Programme, ensuring value for money in procurements and engagement with service providers and in-house advice on legal matters. The position holder will also work with WaterAid in Nigeria lawyers to ensure that all legal requirements are met on timely basis and manage consultancy contracts.

Programme Support Manager at WaterAid Nigeria(Enugu and Jigawa)

To effectively implement our country strategy, WaterAid Nigeria is inviting applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill the following positions:
PROGRAMME SUPPORT MANAGER

Responsible for our work in Enugu and Jigawa respectively

OFFICE LOCATION: To Be Determined

You will successfully work with WaterAid implementing partners in the State to deliver Nigeria country strategic objectives in close collaboration with Programme Support Coordinator. You will equally build fruitful relationships with key sector stakeholders and selected partner organisations to ensure provision of sustainable Water, Sanitation & Hygiene (WASH) services by duty bearers. You will be mobilizing, supporting and empowering appropriate authorities and institutions to promote and deliver water, sanitation facilities and hygiene education and closely monitor partners’ activities to ensure timely reporting.

Requirement is a first degree in development or other relevant field and a minimum of 5 years’ work experience in managing development programmes at State and/or LGA level, of which a minimum of 3 years must be in the area of Water, Sanitation & Hygiene (WASH). Other requirement is experience of working with civil society organisations or networks.

JOB TITLE: PROGRAMME OFFICER, SANITATION & HYGIENE
Responsibilities
You will successfully handle Nigeria Country Programme’s Sanitation and Hygiene work, including support to partners to implement the Sanitation and Hygiene programme plan, conduct Sanitation and Hygiene researches I to strengthen WaterAid’s policy and advocacy work, support the development, implementation and evaluation of pilot Sanitation and Hygiene service delivery models, document and share lessons with internal and external stakeholders for sustainable development of the sector.
The position holder will be based in Abuja but will require considerable travel to support our work in the states, LGAs and with local community beneficiaries.
Qualifications
Minimum qualifications for this position include a Bachelor’s Degree in Development Studies or the Socia Sciences. Membership of a relevant professional body will be an added advantage. You will also have strong knowledge of experimental research and at least 3 years experience of working in the Water Sanitation & Hygiene (WASH) Sector.
