Our clients are predominantly major operating companies and international engineering or construction companies.we are currently recruiting for the position of Topsides Maintenance Engineer

Job description

• Provides Mechanical Expertise to the Maintenance and Inspection teams (both offshore, and onshore team), in any matter for the purpose of ensuring asset integrity and efficient management.
• Ensures that the mechanical equipment satisfy the operational requirements, and are properly maintained and inspected in accordance with the local statutory requirements, the Marine Certification requirements, and the Company Rules and Specifications.
• Supervises, as required by hierarchy the works performed by the Maintenance contractors on the FPSO hull, process equipment and utilities and the marine equipment including the buoy (SBM), and other equipment as specified by hierarchy. May be extended to subsea equipment.
• Ensures that the maintenance and inspection works are performed safely, in accordance with the Company HSEQ standards.
• Develops and follows-up performance and condition monitoring tools and techniques for the purpose of controlling the equipment condition.
• Studies the modifications proposed to enhance the equipment performance.
• Contributes to the optimisation of the Maintenance practices, proposes improvements on both technical and managerial matters.
• Prepares or updates procedures as required in view of asset integrity and work optimisation.
• Performs technical investigations and trouble shooting as required.
• Issue reports both technical and managerial as required.
• Coordinates and performs as required the training of Production operators and Maintenance staff (Nigerians & Expatriates) for the operation and maintenance of the equipment.
• Participates to the management of the Maintenance activities, attends daily, weekly and ad-hoc meetings.
• Assists the Offshore Head of Maintenance & Inspection in his duties as required.

Job requirements

• Education: BSc. in mechanical engineering or equivalent achieved by experience
• Training: BOSIET
• Professional experience (total number of years): 10 years experience in Oil and Gas with management responsibilities in both operational and functional positions
• Foreign language: English – fluent level
