Software Developer
VigLink is looking for exceptional engineers with strong Java or Scala skills and a well-rounded background in computer science, including algorithm design and programming languages. You should have a proven track record of delivering robust, high-availability applications and understand the ins and outs of scalable data processing and storage. You must be capable of designing new data models, developing high-performance software, and architecting web-scale infrastructure.
Challenges

A few of the hard problems we’re working on:

Semantic Search
Develop or license a catalog that asserts that URL A on Merchant 1 and URL B on Merchant 2 sell ‘the same’ product (with all the nuances and edge cases that implies.) Extract related metadata like pricing information
Data Mining
Analyze historical buying behavior across millions of transactions to identify relevant factors in customer merchant preference and expected revenue by merchant and product.
Real Time Auctions
Build a real-time auction comparing expected revenue per merchant calculated across dozens of factors and return a result in 200ms.

Requirements

BA/BS degree in Computer Science preferred with a strong academic record (MS/PhD or equivalent a plus).
At least 3 years of multi-threaded server-side web application programming experience using agile development techniques.
Strong Java or Scala skills and object oriented design experience, including working knowledge of core libraries and design patterns. For Java developers, experience with Hibernate and Spring MVC are pluses.
Excellent database development skills including advanced SQL programming, a solid understanding of database technologies, and logical and physical data modeling.
Experience with Hadoop MapReduce and Cassandra (or a different NoSQL technology) is desirable.
This position is full-time and on-site in our San Francisco office.

Director Business Development

VigLink is looking for an exceptional individual to manage the corporate relationship pipeline from our San Francisco office.
Responsibilities

Identify, approach and close corporate and distribution customers for VigLink.
Manage the lead pipeline and forecast. Prioritize to optimize revenue and minimize engineering requirements.
Leverage other executives at the company to broaden the number and scope of deals that can be closed.
Influence the product team to ensure the development of products that are distribution and partner friendly.

Requirements

At least 3 years of demonstrated excellence at business development in a relevant startup environment.
A detail oriented nature and familiarity with the tools to manage and forecast a large number of simultaneous potential deals.
A proactive drive to identify new opportunities, find an opening and close them as clients.
A solid contact base and demonstrated ability to grow it in the direction you need.
Sufficient technical expertise to influence product development and to avoid over-promising to customers.

Vice President of Merchant Relationships

VigLink is looking for an exceptional individual to lead the merchant relations team for VigLink. You will work with the affiliate networks and a number of merchants directly, working to deepen our relationships, both in terms of meeting our partners incremental revenue and other needs as well as securing for VigLink the most favorable possible terms.
Responsibilities

Establish and deepen relationships with affiliate networks and merchants to ensure we are meeting their incremental revenue and other needs and that VigLink has the best possible terms.
Develop a quantitative model to assess ‘coverage’ and both measure improvements and keep your efforts focused where they will have the most revenue and customer impact.
Work with marketing to develop collateral and out-reach plans to establish VigLink as a known and favored partner throughout the merchant universe.
Develop an internationalization plan for targeting and executing roll-out into new geographies.

Requirements

Significant experience and contacts in high-volume merchant or advertiser relationships at an affiliate network or other multi-merchant entity.
Demonstrated ability to establish relationships with merchants or networks and drive positive relationships and positive mindshare.
Quantitative analysis skills to understand our current state of coverage and to drive understanding of where work should be targeted.
Professional presence, strong oral and written communication skills.
Deep experience with and relationships in performance marketing. For this position experience and existing relationships are much more important than formal education. A college degree is preferred but not required.

Sales / Business Development Associate

VigLink is searching for driven, motivated sales professionals to work in our Indiana office
Responsibilities

Generate outbound emails/calls to prospective clients.
Generate awareness and interest in full suite of products and services.
Identify customer needs and share our value proposition.
Manage and maintain a detailed accurate and growing pipeline.
Demonstrate persistence, tenacity, ability to overcome obstacles and handle frequent objections.
Follow-up on designated leads.
Conduct online product demonstrations as needed.
Leverage internet tools to complete research on companies as appropriate.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in related field.
Minimum 1 year of Sales experience and generating monthly revenues above target goals.
Excellent track record in developing relationships with clients.
Strong relationship building and customer service skills.
Experience with Salesforce a plus.
Experience in the interactive advertising / affiliate marketing industry a plus.
This position is full-time and on-site in our Whiting, Indiana (greater Chicagoland) office.
