Teragro Limited, the agri-business subsidiary of Transnational Corporation of Nigeria Plc (Transcorp) is seeking for highly motivated professionals to work in its new fruit juice concentrate processing plant at Makurdi, Benue State.

Job Title: Plant Manager

An energetic, hardworking and smart professional to serve as a Plant Manager.

Position Summary
The Plant Manager shall be responsible for the overall management of the plant which will include all manufacturing, purchasing, and distribution operations as well as manufacturing support functions: engineering, planning and maintenance.
Other responsibilities will include ensuring operational compliance with all customer and government regulations, planning and directing the manufacturing and maintenance operations to ensure the most effective return on assets, initiating plans and processes which minimize manufacturing costs through effective utilization of manpower, equipment, facilities, materials, and capital, and assuring attainment of business objectives and productions schedules while insuring product standards that will exceed our customers’ expectations.

Essential requirements for the role:

HND/BSc in Manufacturing/Production/Food Technology or Industrial Engineering.
Possession of MBA and membership of a Professional body will be an added advantage.
At least 15 years relevant experience, 10 of which must be at management levels in a similar environment.
Strong business focus, sound judgment, with excellent written and oral communication skills.
Strong leadership skills, independent thinking, strong organizational and planning abilities and excellent analytical and problem solving skills are also essential
