Our Client, a Group of Companies and a Business leader in communications has several vacant positions in Her HR, Admin and Account Department in its offices in Lagos and other upcountry branches in Nigeria
Job Title: Company Accountant
Location :Lagos Abuja& Portharcourt
Position Expectation: 
To Manage eoversee the management of the financial activities of group and its associated companies and funds, developing and implementing the company’s financial policies and strategies, and for ensuring the most effective and appropriate use of the company’s finance and funds. This Person reports to the Financial Controller

Location:Abuja, Lagos, Rivers
Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Prepare profit and loss statements and monthly closing and cost accounting reports.
  • Compile and analyze financial information to prepare entries to accounts, such as general ledger accounts, and document business transactions.
  • Establish, maintain, and coordinate the implementation of accounting and accounting control procedures.
  • Analyze and review budgets and expenditures for local, state, federal, and private funding, contracts, and grants.
  • Monitor and review accounting and related system reports for accuracy and completeness.
  • Prepare and review budget, revenue, expense, payroll entries, invoices, and other accounting documents.
  • Analyze revenue and expenditure trends and recommend appropriate budget levels, and ensure expenditure control.
  • Explain billing invoices and accounting policies to staff, vendors and clients.
  • Resolve accounting discrepancies.
  • Recommend, develop and maintain financial data bases, computer software systems and manual filing systems.
  • Supervise the input and handling of financial data and reports for the company’s automated financial systems.
  • Interact with internal and external auditors in completing audits.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Education and other requirements:
  • 5-7 years of accounting experience and successful completion of ACA /ICAN exams.
  • 3 Years working experience post ICAN and 3 years experience in account management and Customer relations management
  • A first degree in Accounting or any related field
  • Possession of MBA qualification will be an added advantage
  • Analytical Skills
  • Flexibility in changing business requirements
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Teamwork and respectfulness
  • Ability to use Accounting sofwares ( Peach tree/ Sage)
  • Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
  • Knowledge of financial and accounting software applications.
  • Knowledge of federal and state financial regulations.
  • Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements and projections.
  • Application support (includes support of Fraud Management Applications, HR Applications etc.)
  • Prompt response to and resolution of operational/ system queries, faults and service requests
  • Maintain high standard of integrity and company confidentiality
