Job purpose and key deliverables Job Purpose:

The purpose of the role is to deliver value adding technology services underpinned by innovative support for available applications.

Key Deliverables:

1. Manage delivery of local Technology infrastructure services and the defined levels of application support
2. Own, operate, monitor and optimize the Technology Infrastructure taking into account service cost versus quality to drive a reduction in Total Cost of Ownership
3. To lead the adoption of global standards, vendors and processes in line with migration to the agreed global architecture
4. Transition application support function from service delivery to service management through continued out-sourcing of the provision of application support
5. Lead and manage the  out-sourced applications support suppliers while driving the consolidation to a single supplier
6. Provide the resources, expertise, guidance and systems necessary in order to ensure delivery of the following local technology infrastructure services:
1. Local Infrastructure and Technology Projects
2. Local Infrastructure and Technology Changes

3. Local Infrastructure Vendor Management

4. IT Asset Management.

Essential requirements Education:
1. A graduate with a relevant degree
2. Post graduate technical IT qualifications in Network Design and administration, Microsoft Certification, Application Management and Project Management  is desirable

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

1. 6-8 years post graduate work experience including the management of networks and/or technical infrastructure environment
2. Experience in an FMCG environment or a large global organisation using in-sourced and out-sourced IT services and a good working knowledge of the management of IT services
3. Good knowledge of IT Service Management best practice in specific process areas in accordance to ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library).

 

4. Sound commercial knowledge – Sound cross functional knowledge is required to ensure that level of support and services provided have taken into account the business context.

 

Desirable requirements 1. An ideal candidate is one who is able to influence across peer & group stakeholders including but not limited to: Internal Subject matter Experts, and external Service Providers
2. A transformational leader who engages and aligns with teams prior to delivery of operational plans and business changes
3. Superior communication skills – clear and concise to enhance delivery of results
