Your responsibilities include delivery of critical aircraft materials and functions, supporting the punctuality of our aircraft and customer experience .

Please note fixed starting salary of 16,500 plus shift pay if applicable

Job Purpose

To support the delivery of materials, tools and equipment to ensure they are available to meet the customers’ requirements, in a professional manner, keeping a high standard of goods delivery. Need to be flexible and able to interface with other departments and staff across the airline.
Principal Accountabilities

Deliver and collect materials to schedules and all other requirements
Sorting and segregation of serviceable and unserviceable materials
Scan all materials to delivery destinations
Load and unload vehicles
Check vehicle according to checkbook and report findings
Keep vehicles clean and tidy internally and externally
Complete daily yard and trailer reports and feedback updates
Identify and track items in the yard
Maintain wood waste and recycling areas and manage recycling
Ensure the yard is clean and rubbish free
Assist with the checking of deliveries against manifest
Move product as required
Sort manifest paperwork and file as per Department for Transport procedure
Support good house keeping within the warehouse
Support general operational requirements within the scope of the role

Skills

Ability to gain an Airside Pass and Airside driving permit
Capability to acquiring fork lift driving licence
Effective communicator at all levels within the organisation

Self motivated and a self starter
Team worker
Time management
PC literate

Essential Qualifications

Full Manual UK driving licence held for at least 12 months with no more than three penalty points. Note: If you are in doubt over points or endorsements on your licence, please consult the DVLA website for information on length of time offences remain on licences
GCSE’s or equivalent

Experience

Experienced in logistics processes and procedures

Expertise

Knowledge of BA Engineering and Corporate procedures and processes
Knowledge of supply chain processes
