We operate 100,000 barrels per day refinery in Milnerton, Cape Town, that produces gasoline, diesel, jet fuel, liquefied petroleum gas, fuel oil, paving asphalt and other products. Chevron South Africa also has interests in a lubricant oil manufacturing plant in Durban and maintains a laboratory and blending plant there.

Chevron is accepting online applications for the position of AMEP Planning and Operations Specialist located in Cape Town, South Africa through May 26, 2015 at 11:59 p.m. (Eastern Standard Time).
Position Details:     This position is responsible for Product Sourcing, Master Data, Product Costing, Transfer Pricing and Supplier Liaison for the Africa Middle East and Pakistan region within Chevron Lubricants Supply Chain.

Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:

Product Sourcing:

Conducts product sourcing activities for the region on all new product introductions and product replacement in line with approved business cases and product life cycle plans. This entails working with locations, PLCM and cross regionals to balance costs, availability and lead-time. Periodically conducts strategic product sourcing for all AMEP locations, working with cross regional planning teams and local supply chain to manage and optimize product and logistics costs. Ensures compliance to the approved governance process.

Product Costing:

Reviews and manages the product costing for region, coordinating the data gathering of cost drivers/elements and the validation thereof. Maintain Plant Expense Allocations on a yearly and monthly basis making adjustments as needed with applicable approvals. Maintains Quantity structures and ensure master data is aligned with business changes. Ensures maintenance and accuracy of Purchase Contracts. Maintains ZPMC rules Tables. Updates costing templates (transportation/warehouse, raw, packaging and procured product cost) with future/current based costs and validate for significant variances. Performs product costing system activities (upload flat files/create costing estimate, validate costing data, mark for release and release). Run SpotFire report and manage results to track fallouts and progress.

Master Data Management:

Maintains material master data in the region, ensuring alignment with business defined notation. Works with the locations in region to understand material master data requirements and align with PLCM and the global network to ensure alignment in material master data attributes. Maintains current master data and create new master data in line with business requirements (e.g. New Product Introduction, Sunsets, Name Changes, Code Harmonization, etc.). Develops regional and local process to maintain master data integrity and alignment to global processes to meet business objectives. Periodically reviews master data and identify opportunities to improve. Manages the product menu (ZPMC) for raw and finished product and ensuring alignment between BOM’s, Routings and Production Version.

Transfer Pricing:

Custodian of the transfer pricing policy in the region, ensuring compliance to approved policy and Management of Change through periodic audits. Conducts an yearly analysis of the new transfer price changes and make recommendations on a need for an MOC. Develops relevant MOC for stakeholder engagement and approval.

Supplier Liaison:

Provides forecast to additive and procured finished product suppliers in line with approved Material Replenishment Plans. Works with locations and suppliers to resolve product/raw material supply issues and ensure continuity of supply. Ensures the smooth supply of procured products

Required Qualifications:

Minimum of 5 years work related experience
Must have working knowledge SAP Material Master Data
Product Costing background
Strong analytical skills

Preferred Qualifications:

Supply Chain and/or IT degree

Relocation Options:

Relocation may be considered within Chevron South Africa parameters.

International Considerations:

Selected candidates will work in South Africa under the local payroll system and benefits.
