Heritage Bank is seeking a lawyer to support its Legal and Governance team, the role will be responsible for providing legal, regulatory and governance advice across the business.
Your primary focus will be to provide assistance and advice in the following areas:
- Review and prepare documentation for leasing arrangements and associated property matters.
- Liaise with external and internal stakeholders to manage leasing negotiations.
- Provide advice in relation to marketing, products, privacy, credit, IP, and general commercial and corporate matters.
- Support the Legal and Governance team to enhance compliance across Heritage relating to statutory, regulatory and licensing requirements.
- Provide general governance and legal administrative support to the General Counsel.
- Assist with report preparation for a variety of Management and Board Committees.
To be considered for this role you will possess tertiary qualifications in law and be admitted as a Legal Practitioner in Queensland (or eligible for immediate admission). The role would ideally suit a lawyer with 1-4 years PAE with exposure to property and/or financial services. Previous experience in a law firm is essential, in-house legal or regulatory experience would be well regarded. Heritage Bank is looking for a professional, proactive lawyer with excellent communication skills and the drive to achieve commercial outcomes.
