Position: Philanthropy and Partnerships Lead

Duration: Fixed Term Maternity Contract until May 2020 (8 Months)    

Location: Global Secretariat Hub Office; London, Nairobi, Johannesburg

Salary: £49,196 Grade E – Local terms and conditions of Country will apply

A key member of the Resource Mobilisation and Innovation cluster within the Global Secretariat, we want you to work together with new and existing fundraising markets globally to drive income growth from Philanthropy and Partnership donors (trusts and foundations, major donors / high net worth individuals and corporates). You will facilitate the design, development and delivery of training and other capacity-building initiatives for a range of stakeholders. This will include coordinating a peer-to-peer capacity building programme. You will provide technical fundraising advice to countries and support global investments in Philanthropy and Partnerships fundraising. You will also develop effective knowledge management initiatives across the Philanthropy and Partnerships community to drive learning, innovation and collaboration. We will look to you to support the development, management and continual improvement of global systems, processes and policies too. Important will be the ability to ensure compliance as well as monitor and evaluate effectiveness.

Ideally a graduate in a relevant discipline, you will have extensive fundraising experience and a track record of successfully soliciting and managing significant grants from trusts and foundations and/or major donors (high net worth individuals) and/or corporates. A real team player, you will enjoy working in a collaborative way. You will be comfortable working across different countries and cultures and within remote teams. Good at building relationships, you will possess strong communication, coaching and presentation skills too. You will also be effective monitoring fundraising progress and providing reports on performance against targets.
