As a result of expansion in the activities of this company we now have an opening for the following positions:

QUARRY MANAGER

Responsibilities
The Quarry Manager will over see all areas of operation at the Quarry and ensuring that quarries, pits and opencast sites operate successfully; oversee all operations, both on site and in the office, manage staff, coordinate production and monitor all site systems.

Experience & Requirements:

• HND or BSC in Mining /Civil Engineering with practical working experience in the running of a quarry both in Nigeria or Abroad.
• An MBA degree would be an added advantage.
• Not less than 40 years of age
• A minimum of 10 years practical experience in related industry.
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Packages, Internet etc.

ELECTRICAL / ELECTRONIC ENGINEERS

Responsibilities
Perform duties such as designing and installation of electrical and electronic panel, power system designs, re- distribution, re-installation and overhauling of electrical panels. in a power plant.

Design, construct and installation of power plants. Installation and maintenance of crushers and cones in a large scale quarry.

Qualification and Experience:

• HND or BSC in Electrical / electronics with practical experience in Quarry and mining.
• Not less than 30 years of age.
• 5-8 years post qualification experience.
• Working knowledge of major crushing equipment such as SANVIK machines will be an added advantage.
• Ability to read, understand and interpret engineering manuals.
• Must be familiar with Microsoft projects such Microsoft excel.
• Must be Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) competent.
• COREN certified or other professional qualification is an added advantage.
• Must be a super user of Microsoft Packages, Internet etc.

CIVIL ENGINEER

Job description and activities
Performing engineering duties in planning, designing, and overseeing construction and maintenance of building structures, and facilities, such as roads, bridges, harbours, channels, dams, irrigation projects, pipelines, oil wells, water and sewage systems, and waste disposal units. Includes architectural, structural, traffic, ocean, and geo-technical engineering skills and expertise Materials quantity control and variance check.

Qualification and Experience:
• HND or BSC in civil engineering with practical experience in construction of oil drilling locations for major oil companies in Nigeria or abroad
• Not less than 30 years of age
• 5-8 years post qualification experience
• Working knowledge of surveying and dredging will be an added advantage
• Ability to read, understand and interpret engineering drawings, architectural drafting and design and develop finer details accordance with the set guidelines.
• Must be familiar with Microsoft projects such as PRIMAVERA & also Microsoft excel
• Must be Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) competent
• COREN certified or other professional qualification is an added advantage
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Packages, Internet etc.

ACCOUNTING ASSISTANT

Job Description and Duties

Accounting is the backbone of business. Ethical and professional accounting forms a clear financial image of a business, and allows managers to make informed decisions, keeps investors abreast of developments in the business, and keeps the business profitable.

* Prepares and processes purchase orders, invoices, cheque requests, manual cheques and contract payments.

* To receive and process all invoices, expense forms and requests for payment.

* Verify calculations and input codes in to the Accounts system in an accurate manner

* Ensures purchase orders, receiving and invoices are matched.

* Recommends change to purchasing and other financial policies and practices.

* Responsible for the accuracy and timely processing of weekly cheque printing.

* Responsible for cheque stock inventory & safekeeping of same.

* Liaises with Budget Officer to solve day to day budget issues.

* Provides reports as required by Finance management team.

* Other general accounting duties as assigned.

Qualification and Experience:

* Previous experience in a similar role with exposure to Management Accounts, Payroll, VAT Returns, Credit Control, etc.

* HND/B.Sc in Accounting with minimum of 3 years practical working experience

* Not less than 27 years of age

* Proficient knowledge in the use of Peachtree and other accounting packages will be an added advantage.

* Excellent interpersonal skills and strong ability to multi-task with minimal supervision

* Initiative and proactive approach to the delivery of quality services

* Proficient in the use of Microsoft Packages, Internet etc.

As a result of expansion in the activities of this company we have an opening for a career minded aggressive marketing person as Marketing Representative, who will be fully involved in marketing the products of the two quarries.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

Product quality definition
Customer characteristics analysis
Customer targeting and product purchase placement
Pricing policy management
Product production ordering
Market sourcing for optimal capacity utilization
Monthly sales and production reporting
Reporting the above to the managing Director/General Manager/Quarry Manager
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

A Minimum of a second class lower division degree in Business Management or Marketing. An MBA with a focus on marketing or a professional degree in marketing will be an added advantage.
Not less than 30 years of age
A Minimum of 5-8 years of cognate experience in marketing quarry products or quarry materials or related industry.
A Passionate, innovative, flexible, and motivated individual willing to and able to market the company’s materials
Must be smart, sharp, aggressive with pleasing personality & quick decision making ability, with proven track records
Must be a self starter, able to set up a marketing function in a fast growing company, without any supervision
Dynamic, result-oriented and able to deliver and achieve sales target
Should have team management experience
Marketing intelligence and research as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Work requires significant local travel to current and potential clients. This requires the possession of a valid state driver’s license.
