About the role

The post holder will provide logistics support within Christian Aid’s office in-country. He/she will drive staff, visitors and goods to required destinations timely and safely including co-operation with officials at check points. The post holder will ensure proper maintenance of  Christian Aid vehicles including safety equipment, carry out regular checks on vehicles and report observations timely. The Driver/ Logistics Assistant will ensure regular servicing of Christian Aid vehicle as at when due and that repairs are carried out by the appropriate service provider. The driver/ Logistics Assistant will work closely with other drivers to ensure that Logistics requirements are professionally handled.

About you

You have a minimum of Secondary School Certification with basic knowledge of clerical work. You must have a minimum of five years driving experience, including evidence of a one year learning period with a valid driving licence and any other documentation required to drive and maintain a four wheel vehicle. You must have experience driving a vehicle with passengers, knowledge of the area and experience of liaising with government and security officials when required. You must have basic computer skills and able to communicate in English language (oral and written). Ability to communicate in the local language is an added advantage. You are required to have a high level of integrity and able to work effectively with minimal supervision. Administrative support experience is desirable.
