The Role

The Regional Business Development Manager WAF will lead on new business development in support of all countries in the region; creating, identifying and accessing new funding opportunities; maintaining a consistent standard of donor relations and ensuring high-quality proposal development across variable country contexts. They will actively seek to grow income for the confederation through multi-country funding opportunities and consortium partnerships with Civil Society Organisations, but also with Private Sector (consultancy firms specialised in development) or international organisations (such as United Nation Organisations…) .

What we’re looking for

We are looking for an experienced resource mobilization specialist, able to demonstrate success in engaging with bilateral and multilateral donors for an international agency like Oxfam. You will have strong networking, representational and negotiation skills and be an effective communicator- both in English and French- able to articulate strategy and policy issues through effective oral and written briefs.  You will be able to work effectively across multi-cultural, multi-functional teams. You will be familiar with government decision-making processes, both political and technical, including budget processes, appropriation, protocols, and communications
