Position:    Associate Production Technologist Ref: 1004
Qualification:  
B.Sc degree with Second Class Upper Division in Chemical, Mechanical, Petroleum or Mining Engineering.
Minimum of 1–2 years experience in the oil industry and eagerness to learn and develop expertise in all aspects of Production Technology

Job Duties/ Responsibilities/ Accountabilities: 
 
    Monitor and evaluate well, reservoir and field performance with a view to optimising daily production and reserves through the design of well completions, and an understanding of artificial lift and facilities constraints.
    Identify areas of poor well performance and formulate solutions through proposals for well interventions.
    Prepare lift curves and flow models for wells and production systems.
    Provide Production Technology input to field development plans, applications to drill and workover proposals (e.g. well completion design, well performance prediction, optimum artificial lift method, production chemistry issues, and processing facilities).
    Assist in monitoring and forecasting sand production and proposing sand exclusion methods.
    Assist in establishing and monitoring artificial lift strategies.

ASSOCIATE RESERVIOUR ENGINEER: ASM 1003

 
B.Sc degree with Second Class Upper Division in Petroleum Engineering, Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering with high computer literacy.
Minimum of 1-2 years experience in the oil industry and an eagerness to learn and develop expertise in all aspects of Reservoir Engineering including Reservoir Simulation.

Job Duties/ Responsibilities/ Accountabilities:
    Monitor production from existing fields, analyse relevant data and ensure that production is maximised and recoveries are optimal.
    Assist in monitoring and updating reservoir management strategies.
    Assist in preparation of detailed medium and long-term production forecasts.
    Assist in presentation of field reviews and incremental development proposals.
    Study and rank potential infill well, recompletion and workover targets.
    Assist in preparing data-decks and conducting reservoir simulation studies to determine optimum methods of maximising ultimate oil recovery and enhance individual well performance.
    Prepare production testing proposals and provide guidelines for execution.

Requirements

• Carry out geological work required for the timely execution of designated projects in an efficient and cost effective manner. according to agreed technical specifications and standards
• Develop 3D static geological models to support dynamic simulation, field reviews. field development plans and ongoing drilling activities
• Identify and evaluate infill and appraisal well opportunities in designated projects
• Provide geological input into well proposals and field development plans and presentation of same to partners and local approval agencies
• Provide technical/operational advice while drilling and maintain up-to-date well progress data. subsurface maps and geological information
• Prepare and obtain approval for contracts to cover geological technical work associated with third party service providers as required to support in-house technical teams. and ensure adherence/compliance with agreed scopes of work and contract ceiling values
• Efficient supervision, mentoring and coaching of less experienced geological staff

Qualification and Experience
• B.Sc or M.Scdegree in Geology.
• Minimum of 12 relevant years experience in production geology (preferably with a major international operator) including exposure to well site drilling operations, reservoir geology, fault modeling, petrophysics, seismic interpretation, formation evaluation, 3D stalic sedimentology, reservoir engineering and geological modeling.

Job Title: Associate Wellhead/Subsea Engineer Ref: ASM 1006

Description:
This role created to oversee wellhead design, program plans and execution.

Requirements:

• Monitor assembly, inspection and testing of all types of surface and subsea equipment I.e. wellheads, trees, tree caps, lower tree caps, lower marine riser package, emergency disconnect package, wellhead, casing hanger, tubing hanger, valve actuator, different types of hydraulic and mechanical connectors
• Supervise all subsea-related equipment maintenance, repairs and testing; contractor administration, HSE compliance. Monitor use of high pressure hydraulic tooling and equipment
• Monitor planned maintenance of equipment and oversee certification to local and international standards
• Compile wellhead equipment, ensure they meet design specs and standards, prepare and supervise installation offshore
• Specify wellhead/subsea equipment in conjunction with drilling engineers to ensure they meet requirement
• Monitor installation of Expro upper lubricator and subsea test tree
• Monitor and coordinate teams of contractor Xmas tree, wocs and subsea test tree engineers to ensure a safe, planned and efficient operations
• Provide technical reports and documentation as applicable
• Review rig documentation and maintenance of marine riser package, riser tensioners, subsea (OP and related systems

Qualifications and Experience

• The candidate must possess a minimum of B.Sc. Second Class Degree in engineering discipline
• Must be resourceful and full of initiative to improve well operations
• Must possess good presentation skills and ability to facilitate meetings
• Good technical skills and knowledge of engineering principles. Strong aptitude for solving
technical problems
• Must have attended industry courses in wellheads engineering and installation
• Membership of Society of Petroleum Engineers is essential
• The candidate must possess a minimum of 1 year relevant experience in upstream Oil and Gas exploration

Job Title: Associate Drilling Optimization Engineer

Description:
• Review database(s) ensure data is optimally organized, up to date and readily available for easy access
• Liaise with the Asset teams and Exploration to provide optimal planning schedules (TWP’s).
Regularly review the TWP’s to provide the best sequence that optimises well delivery as the business requirements evolve
•Provide input to the drilling budget by compiling level 2 cost estimates in conjunction with the Principal Drilling Engineers
• Perform well planning at project identification up to the submission of the FDP in close liaison with the Asset and Drilling teams
• Review well plans using DWOP results to determine means of improving well plans to save cost or reduce time
• Provide well planning schedules and drilling schedules for tracking well plans against actual performance
• Compile performance data per rig, making comparisons against the other rigs where feasible and the feedback to the operation as means of encouraging performance improvements. Hold reviews to determine the challenges and develop action plans
• Responsible for update of the performance (e.g. Rushmore) database on a quarterly basis.
• Share information from the performance (Rushmore) database to the drilling teams to enhance well planning and drilling operations
• Ensure data quality. consistency and standardization across the rig teams
• Embed the use of IDS data for periodic and end of well performance reporting
• Provide comprehensive End of Well Reports
• Disseminate information on drilling operations to the rig teams on guidelines covering drilling { completion/ workover operations
• Ensure approvals available from within Addax and the government for all well programs
• Provide performance data for TECOM and other meetings

Qualification and Experience

• The candidate must possess a minimum of B.Sc. Second Class in engineering discipline
• Must have good technical knowledge of well operations, ability to analyse well operations and determine areas requiring improvement
• Must be resourceful and full of initiative to improve well operations
• Must possess good presentation skills and ability to facilitate meetings
• Good interpersonal skills, communications and organizational skills are essential
• Must have attended industry courses in well engineering. well operations management and project management
• Membership of Society of Petroleum Engineers is essential
• The candidate must possess a minimum of 3 years relevant experience in upstream Oil and Gas exploration

This role is responsible for providing leadership for a proactive and integrated leaming and development function which develops, manages and delivers the APDNL Corporate Development Plan to meet the short and long term goals of the business.

Requirements
• Develop, implement and review learning and development strategies geared at creating and sustaining a top class workforce as well as fostering a strong learning culture within APDNL
• Ensure that APDNL is in compliance with all Laws, Regulations and Directives governing or impacting the Oil & Gas industry relative to Learning & Development
• Support the Manager, Human Resources as part of the HR Management Team in developing HR strategies, policies and practices which demonstrably underpin the achievement of the company’s Corporate Strategy
• Ensure the Company’s Learning & Development strategies and practices support the APDNL Competency Framework and reflect the APDNL business plan as well as the Nigerian Local Content Development Agenda
• Act as an advisor and business partner to Line Management as well as the Manager, Human Resource on Learning & Development issues
• The Learning & Development Manager is the custodian of the APDNL Succession Plan and the APDNL Nigerianisation Plan and will partner with Line Managers to ensure that these plans consistently deliver on stated goals
• Provide effective leadership to the Training & Performance Management Teams

Qualification and Experience

• A good Bachelor’s degree in any discipline, preferably Human Resource Management & Development MBA or M Sc in Business or Human Resources or Organizational Development will be a strong advantage
• Typically 7-10 years of quality experience in Learning, Performance Management, Organizational Development or Human Resource Management / Development with at least 2 years at Supervisory / Management level preferably in the Oil & Gas industry
• Demonstrable experience in developing and implementing competency frameworks and succession programs as well as in managing/driving organizational change
• Must be strongly technology-enabled , demonstrating familiarity with HR I Talent Management Software and the Microsoft Office Suite of Programmes
• Superior communicating, influencing and consulting skills
• Membership of a recognized professional body is desirable e.g. CIPM, CIPD or SHRM
