The Role

Role Summary/Purpose

Roles and Responsibilities
• Promote and facilitate good communication between different business teams across platform to create and maintain a healthy “community” and establish and share “best practices”;
• Run the logistics of strategy process which include training, bringing in the correct people, organizing meetings, facilitating the team so that it remains on track, etc
• Organize and manage key outsourcing and vendor relationships.
• Must be able to travel, both within and outside the country very frequently and sometimes at very short notice.
• Plan and develop long term Business Communications and Campaigns strategy together with the President & CEO
• Manage a MS portfolio of over 1500 sites for both Active and Passive Elements, and a team of over 140 engineers
• Manage a team for the deployment of over 4000 network elements in a year
• Coordinate the overall Managed Service and Implementation operations, which includes resource dimensioning (Finance, Tools, Human, and Spares).
• Attend senior level project meetings and leads the review and evaluation of delivery processes with client when necessary.
• Lead in the effort in designing technical strategy, direction and approach, standards, technical reliability and flexibility as applicable to all Operations & Maintenance projects.
• Responsible to meet Network Maintenance targets in terms of SLAs and managed the Field Service Maintenance Agreements and escalate accordingly
• Ensure good communication and working relationships with the field maintenance teams
• Responsible to input to the development of future Network Maintenance strategies and policies
• Managed the Field Service Maintenance Agreements and escalate accordingly
• Ensure that the spare part and inventory management is fulfilled according to the SLA targets
Skills and Competency Requirements
• Must have professional skills and competence in the areas of Telecoms Power Elements, Operation and Maintenance engineering;

• Strong negotiation and presentation skills.
• Must be abreast with new developments in the Managed Service value-chain, and conversant with Diesel Supply sourcing and management

Qualification and Experience
• A good B.Engr/MSc degree in Engineering or a related discipline from a reputable University;
• Senior Management experience in a Vendor, Operator or Engineering Service Company
• Sound knowledge of Telecoms power and power related elements like Generators, Rectifier, Air Conditioners, etc
• Strong experience in the deployment of BSS, NSS and Transport systems including Fiber optics networks
• Professional qualification and/or membership of a professional engineering body;
• Industry experience of no less than 8 years;
• Senior Management responsibility of no less than 3 years
• MBA and Huawei and Ericsson vendor knowledge will be added advantage.

·         Possess a B.Sc/B.Eng in HVAC Engineering and Electromechanical Engineering with HVAC bias obtained at a minimum of Second Class (Upper Division).Possession of ASHRAE professional certificate is an added advantage.

Able to establish rapport and credibility quickly and effectively and ability to sell at all levels
Ability to devise strategy for cold calls and convert into potential business
