KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

THE INCUMBENT WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:
Leading the process of consumer and customer insight generation in the Area.
Ensuring the integrity of insights and its integration in the decision making process.
The guardianship of all research systems, protocols and platforms
Ensuring the marketing insights and information platform (processes and systems) is fit-for- purpose to support informed decision making.
Management of research agencies and 3rd party service providers

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

5-8 years relevant FMCG experience.
Research methodologies, design and systems
Research agency management
Brand and trade marketing strategy development
Experience in people supervision (including coaching and team leadership skills)

EDUCATION:
Bachelors Degree in any business-related field

Principal Accountabilities:
The Management Trainee Programme will involve an assessment of your leadership and managerial skills. Where necessary we will support your development with further formal training. You will be provided with opportunities to put these skills into practice, in preparation for your move to a managerial role.
The MT Programme will structure your development around a clearly defined set of objectives. You will gain support and encouragement from three sources. Your Coach- a manager who will work with you to ensure that you are reaching the standards expected of you and you are getting what you need from the programme. BAT Nigeria: Finance Officer (Lagos)

British America Tobacco  Nigeria is recruiting for a Finance Officer to be based in Lagos.

Reports to: Finance Executive – Accounts Payable

Principal Accountabilities:


Operational/Technical/Professional Results

* Ensure invoices are accurately coded and scanned through the SAP application in timely basis to enable prompt payment and periodic reporting.
* Ensure that all invoices have correct supporting documentation and that tax and other deductions are correctly calculated.
* Ensure that all vouchers/invoices and their supporting documents are invalidated after processing to avoid reuse.
* Reconcile all vendors accounts and prepare statements of such reconciliation monthly.
* Monitoring ZFA102 (scanning report) to ensure scanning is done on time and all rejects properly addressed and rescanned.

Leadership Results

* Ensure that all vouchers and invoices processed for payment comply with the Company policies and authority schedules and no transactions that are outside policy or in excess of authority levels are processed.
* Ensure that all urgent payments receive the required attention.

Management Results

* Ensure that suppliers are paid on a timely basis and in line with the Company payment policy, objectives and the objective of being a good corporate citizen.
* Attends to all vendors queries from all locations and resolving all issues that might arise.
* Liase with Bass Ame to ensure timely and efficient posting of all parked invoices by the Temps.
* Ensure that all due invoices were picked up on the weekly payment run and follow up on those not picked for one reason or the other.

Relationship Results

* Maintain effective liaison with other colleagues in the AP team to ensure that all vouchers and invoices are returned promptly for filing after processing.

Provide technologically driven solutions to identified processing problems

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

* A good honours degree or HND in Accounting or any of the Social Sciences
* Sound knowledge of double entry book keeping and Nigerian taxation
* Knowledge of Total or Control Accounts.

Key Outputs:

* The job exists to process vouchers and suppliers invoices in collaboration with the BAT South African team. Accounts Payable application of the SAP to ensure that the Company’s payment obligations are met on a timely basis and in the most efficient manner. This job would also ensure reconciliation of vendor accounts are properly done and control accounts are adequately reviewed and reconciled

Reward Analyst – Reporting to the Area Reward Manager.

Principal Accountabilities:

* Analyse survey data as well as information collected from individual organisations, highlighting trends and issues for consideration.
* Prepare remuneration intelligence reports and draft recommendations for consideration by the BCC.
* Present recommendations on remuneration and benefits issues to the BCC for review and approval.
* Maintain balance sheet information for incoming and outgoing expatriates.
* Maintain on-assignment remuneration for assignees out according to annual increases, bi-annual COL updates and policy changes, as well as on-assignment terms and conditions for incoming expatriates in conformity with established practices.
* Ensure that IA packages and payroll instructions are properly implemented and executed in line with policy.
* Oversee the effective delivery of remuneration and reward across the company, especially salary increase management and incentive schemes.
* Manage the full Job Evaluation process through the use of the JE Manager technology and ensure internal equity and consistency across functions.
* Implement and sustain non monetary recognition arrangements which will create and embed a culture of spontaneous recognition.
* Implement and maintain a reward communication strategy that enhances transparency and keeps employees informed.
* Develop and enhance reward training modules for line and HR managers to increase their reward management competence.
* Respond to all queries around expatriate remuneration and benefits.
* Develop, maintain and implement a reward induction module for new hires.
* Establish and maintain effective and productive relationships, especially with external colleagues in the HR discipline and FMCG sector.
* Source appropriate and quality remuneration and benefits data.
* Lead and execute area and regional reward projects as assigned by the Area Reward Manager and Regional Reward Forum

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
