Position Summary
To manage the front line operation of Egypt’s largest Gas Fields in the Rashpetco/Burullus Joint Venture Company. This includes supervision of all production operations activity, including production, process, maintenance and support services, and requires the development and implementation of company standards to ensure a safe and efficient workplace.

Key Accountabilities
* Assume overall responsibility for Health, Safety and welfare of up to 200 full-time personnel and significant numbers of transient personnel at operational gas site

* Ensure the implementation of plans & programs related to production, processing, maintenance & supporting services to maintain safe and efficient production from Egypt’s largest gas hub

* Monitoring the implementation of periodical & preventive maintenance programs for the equipment to ensure optimal plant safety and availability

* Work closely with Management and technical support personnel in Cairo to effect engineering and operational change as required

* Ensure safe and timely integration of new projects into existing process whilst minimizing down time

* Participating in designing health, safety & environment plans & programs in accordance with BG and International standards

* Provide clear direction to all team members to ensure they understand their part in delivering Rashpetco’s performance targets and Operational Excellence standards in general.

* Establish competency assurance and training standard, facilities & resources in compliance with the RASHPETCO HR management system

* Coaching and support of staff through the BG Group HR Annual Cycle

* Act as incident commander during plant emergencies

* Compile OPEX and CAPEX budgets for Field Operations in line with JV, BG and partner reporting requirements

* Provide an effective management reporting system for the Field team, such that Capital and Operating costs within Operations can be tracked and managed to achieve the company’s targets

Unique Knowledge, Skills, Experience and Attribute

* Extensive experience managing operational functions in the hydrocarbon exploitation or processing industries

* Leadership of multidisciplinary teams in a complex and changing organisational environment.

* Utilisation and effective interpretation of risk and hazard management tools such as HAZID, HAZOP, Process Safety Review, Quantitative Risk Assessment.

* Formulation of Safety and Asset Integrity improvement plans, together with front line leadership of related initiatives, including Behavioural Based Safety and Leading with Safety.

* Presentation to and influence of senior management up to and including Asset managers.

* Involvement in significant organisational change programmes.

* Engineering graduate in relevant discipline – Process, Electrical, Mechanical or Instruments

* Professional qualification (Chartered Engineer) is desirable, or sufficient experience as above.

* Ability to develop and implement best practice systems to support safe and efficient operation of complex gas network

* Knowledge of gas industry and gas chains

* Knowledge of Arabic would be advantageous

* Fluent written and spoken English is essential

* Manager of a 24 hour, 365 day operating facility

* Must be internationally mobile for 28/28 rotation

* Regular visits to Cairo for Senior Management meetings

The Candidate:

# The preferred candidate should have the following qualifications:

# A minimum of five years of HR Generalist experience with adequate exposure to Performance Management, Industrial relations, Reward Management and Change.
# Sound Knowledge of Kenyan labour legislation.

# A good University degree in Social Sciences.

# A Master’s degree or Post Graduate HR qualifications will be an added advantage.

This position is required to manage, coordinate and supervise all sites rollout and keeping up to date track record of the project using the PM software.

Essential Job Functions

1. To coordinate, Monitor and manage all sites build work programme and method for technical quality for Collocation sites build Project.

2. Attends meetings with contractors to get a feedback of all the activities at the different Regions covered(North- Central, North- west, South- South) and also discussed on the way to improve site build work without compromising quality and also delivered with Time and Cost.

3. To ensure that all the facilities are deployed and installed at sites according to their specifications and as scheduled.

4. Produce construction plan (Plan Action Programme, PAP) for new sites roll out and also necessary documentation for the all cell sites from start-up to the final completion of the project (FAC).

5. Monitor and collate daily reports for all the sites activities in the regions under my supervision in order to keep a daily update on the Project Management Programme software.
6. Management of contractor’s challenges encountered on all the sites and passing the information to the relevant department for immediate resolution, approval and action.
Liaise with the legal department in resolving various community issues on sites by getting and giving necessary approval required.
7. Issuance of ITP (Instruction to proceed) to contractors.

Education/Certifications

1. A good first degree or HND, preferably in Civil/Building/Electrical engineering. Must be registered with relevant Engineering bodies COREN, N.S.E.
2. Exhibits a high level of initiative, objectivity, integrity, confidentiality & commitment
3. Have exceptional IT knowledge/skills to generate, review, run and interpret reports.
4. Proficiency in computer skills.
5. Advanced analytical capabilities, Keen attention to detail, Exceptional organizational skills.
6. Good interpersonal communication skills, networking, leadership & change management skills are also required.
7. Ability to manage and resolve crises.
8. Good team spirit and human relation management.
9. Result oriented in line with corporate objective

Experience/Minimun Requirements

1. 7-10 years Telecommunication /construction experience.
2. Registration with the relevant bodies is an addition.
