CHF International is seeking an Economic Strengthening Team Leader for an upcoming Health Service Delivery project in Kenya. The Economic Strengthening Team Leader (ESTl) will be responsible for the overall design, training, facilitation, and monitoring of activities promoting economic opportunities for vulnerable populations under the Economic Strengthening component of the health service delivery program.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBLITIES:
•Design and oversee activities related to economic development and livelihoods, liaising regularly with the relevant stakeholders including key government bodies to ensure policies are responsive to the needs of vulnerable populations;

•Conduct initial consultations with local partner organizations to evaluate individual capacity building needs in management and/or their technical areas of specialization and design economic strengthening training package(s) tailored to partner needs;

•Standardize performance indicators, monitoring systems, and tools among local implementing partners and cooperatives;

•Conduct different sector studies to assess identify the most economically viable sectors in which vulnerable populations can engage for economic strengthening, focusing on the identification and development of linkages within those sectors;

•Work with local partner organizations to promote individual and/or group assets growth through Internal Saving and Lending Groups(ISLGs) and support potential Micro Finance Institutions to develop products that are effective and beneficial to vulnerable populations;
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
•Minimum BA degree in business, international development, or related field; Masters Degree of equivalent professional experience preferred.

•7+ years experience with pro-poor market-based approaches to economic development;

•Experience working on economic development, livelihoods or microenterprise projects in Eastern Africa; experience in Kenya a plus.

•Experience working with vulnerable populations; particular experience working with people and communities living with HIV/AIDS and family members impacted by HIV is a plus;

•Experience incorporating a gender focus into economic development activities, i.e. establishing economic activities that reduce the risk of sexual exploitation of women and girls

•English fluency is required, effective use of written and spoken Swahili a plus.

CHF International is seeking a Senior Program Officer (PO) for the Middle East and Caucasus. The Senior PO has programmatic, operational and financial management responsibilities in the support of various field-based programs. S/he will ensure program deliverables and goals are met; investigate problems and design solutions; coordinate with implementing partners and donors and represent CHF at meetings, conferences and workshops. The Senior PO will lead program start-up and coordinate close-out activities; participate in, or lead, program development; and prepare, review and realign budgets. S/he will provide updates and critical analysis of field reports to senior management. In HQ, the Senior PO will act as a mentor to other staff. The position includes travel to field offices to monitor program implementation and provide operational assistance.

Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline and 8 years of relevant work experience, or Master’s Degree in relevant discipline and 5 years of relevant work experience

* Prior international NGO or For-Profit Contractor experience

* Minimum 2 years of overseas experience working on donor funded programs

* Significant experience managing USAID and/or DoL programs

* Experience with anti-child labor programs a plus

* Significant financial analysis and budgeting experience

* Prior program/proposal development experience

* Able and willing to travel internationally, at times to conflict affected regions

* Familiarity with Microsoft Office programs required, Excel and Word

* Complete fluency in written/spoken English a must; competency in Arabic a plus

CHF is seeking a HQ Director to be responsible for the Asia portfolio including Afghanistan and Pakistan

Each of these positions requires leading a separate team to backstop all of the on-going projects in the field.

As Regional Director you will:
collaborate with the Office of Business Development to develop new business in countries in your region where CHF is currently undertaking projects and explore opportunities for new projects in countries specific to your region where CHF is not presently working on projects;

Provide strategic direction for all field projects in your region;

Guide implementation of new programs in the field in your region;

Mentor field and HQ staff assigned to your region;

Review budgets and burn rates; and

Maintain and develop relationships with partners, local partners, donors and other stakeholders.
This position report directly to the VP of the Office of Global Operations.
This position are based at the CHF HQ in Silver Spring, Maryland

Required Skills
Qualifications

* 3+ years experience as a Director in the Field for the Asia Region

* Field experience on the continent of Asia

* Masters degree preferred

* 10+ years progressive experience in international development

* Prior HQ and field experience

* 7+ years of staff management experience in an international development environment

* Experience managing USAID funded programs

* English required; second language preferred

* Asian experience on a USAID funded project preferred
