Our client is a market leader in the design, manufacture and marketing of Ice Cold Merchandisers, and production of glass containers, primarily targeting the beverage industry; The Company has operations in over 18 countries across all continents with sales in over 100 countries across the globe, and is listed on both the
Athens Stock Exchange and Nigerian Stock Exchange.
The Company is currently implementing key strategic initiatives aimed at expanding its operations in Nigeria and is seeking to recruit a focused, energetic, result-oriented and suitably qualified professional to fill the position of a Financial Controller.
Reporting to the Finance Director (Nigeria Operations), the successful candidate will be responsible for the coordination of all finance-related activities in the Nigerian entities. He/she will maintain appropriate financial management framework to support the corporate objectives of the group. Specifically. the candidate will:
Job Title: Financial Controller
Develop and sustain systems and procedures for maintaining proper financial records and adequate accounting controls and services,
- Oversee the preparation of the Company’s financial and management reports (monthly, quarterly and annually including; analysis of key financial performance indicators and trends. financial ratios; cross division comparisons and comparison of actual results to budget.
- Develop and implement internal control policies. guidelines, and procedures for activities such as budget admimstratlon, cash and credit management, and accounting.
- Coordinate tax planning and compliance with all relevant tax legislations and procedures, resolution of all tax issues resulting from tax audits.
- Coordinate audits of Company’s accounts and financial transactions to ensure compliance with the group accounting policies. releval)t accounting standards an(! other legislations,
- Manage relationshIp with all stakeholders, including financial institutions. auditors and regulatory authorities,
Qualifications, Experience and Attributes
- A good first degree or its equivalent from a reputable institution
- Higher degree (slm hnance. Economics or Business Administration (e.g. MBA) will be an added advantage
- Professional qualiflcation{s) (e.g, ACA, ACCA) is essential
- Minimum of ten (10) years’ relevant experience, two (2) of which must have been spent in a similar role, preferably in a large multinational manufacturing industry.
- Excellent knowledge of financial accounting principles and concepts. and working knowledge of tax laws
- Excellent knowledge of budgeting and cash flow forecasting techniques, financial statement analysis Including key trends analysis, project costing techniques, financial controls and business case analysis
- Knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards {lFRS}
- Familiarity with major accounting applications
- Strong analytical background, and demonstrable ability to establish goats and deliver results
- Excellent marketlng, planning and organization skills

Director, Risk & Compliance – Kuwait

The successful candidate will report directly to the Group Managing Director and have primary responsibility for management and implementation of all designated infrastructure projects undertaken by the Group.
