Veda Nigeria: Human Resources Manager
Veda Technology Limited is an indigenous computer manufacturing company. VEDA is seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to join our company.
The Human resources manager shall plan, organise, direct, and manage human resources activities, develop and coordinate departmental human resources policies and procedures and pursue innovative strategies for human capital management and development.
In addition, the human resources manager will be responsible for continually evaluating, iterating and improving on the approach VEDA uses for personnel management, compensation packages, recruitment policies and training as the company continues to grow in line with her vision and business objectives.
This position is located in our Lagos Head office.
Reports To: Head of Finance & Administration
Job Description
Align to the company’s strategic objectives-short, medium and long term goals
Assist the Executive Management to drive and facilitate a viable employee relations strategy for the company.
Develop, Implement and monitor performance management process for staff
Develop and implement policies and procedures
Strategically facilitate and oversee provision of all work tools or conditions that contributes to or enhances the delivery of excellent performances from employees
Align and ensure adaptation to the company’s management style, culture and core values.
Plan, recruit and facilitate induction programme for newly employed staff
Assist the Executive Management to manage organizational development process.
Ensure strict compliance by staff to all company rules and regulations
Develop and oversee disciplinary and grievance procedure machinery in the company
Manage employee relations and grievance process
Develop and manage the company’s training portfolio for staff
Prepare and deploy payroll activities every month and ensure all employees are paid promptly and correctly
Manage the company’s PFA, HMO and other schemes for staff
Manage the company’s compensation and benefits portfolio for staff
Required Skills/Competencies
Thorough knowledge of Programme Planning, implementation and evaluation principles, practices and procedures
Should have good analytical and numeracy skills.
Good supervisory skills, ability to provide reasoned advice to superiors and ability to motivate subordinate staff.
Demonstrated ability to work and communicate with people in a polite, courteous and cooperative manner with high standards of ethical conduct.
Education:
Candidates should possess a good first degree in any course from an accredited university.
A higher degree or a legal background would be an advantage.
The successful candidate must have a minimum 4-5 years experience in HR practice.
Membership of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria is an added advantage.
