Veda Nigeria: Ecommerce Manager
Veda’s vision is to lead and inspire the growth and development of computer technology in Africa. Veda is now recruiting for an Ecommerce Manager.
As a part of our strategy, we are developing an Ecommerce and Online Marketing/Sales division to further market, create awareness and generate sales through this unique but exciting channel.
As an Ecommerce Manager, you will lead and manage our online division including managing the web design/ development team, VEDA’s online presence and coordinate with internal departments to facilitate a one of a kind electronic commerce and marketing process which includes a one of a kind online store, web marketing and online promotions.
We are looking for an experienced marketer, a tech savvy individual, a leader and a team-player.
Reports To: Chief Marketing Officer
Department: Online Division, Marketing and Communication Department
Key Responsibilities:
Working closely with Chief Marketing Officer to achieve the online business’ strategy and objectives.
Establish goals & objectives for the company’s electronic commerce
Confer and negotiate with managers from various internal departments such as marketing, billing, product development, production, supply chain, inventory & information systems
Manage online vendors that facilitate operations to achieve goals and objectives
Lead and coordinate online marketing projects with management
Manage the web site and the company’s computer systems to update records, inventory and operating procedures
Prepare reports on the economic transactions of the website for top management and other departments
Define and implement electronic business strategies that reduce costs and increase on-line sales of the business, applying skills in project management
Lead E-commerce technology initiatives including website development, ERP integration, customer service integration, and marketing programs
Required Skills/Competencies
Strong portfolio in marketing and sales
Ability to handle the pressure of a start-up environment
Conceptual abilities in both the creative and logical
Presentation of ideas and messages.
Ability to work collaboratively with the colleagues and departments.
Proactive nature and ability to think outside the box
Deep understanding of web 2.0, online social networking and online advertising space

Education:
Bachelor’s Degree (Second Class Upper) from a reputable University
Minimum 3-5 years IT related experience
Minimum 3 years sales/marketing experience in a Technology based industry
Minimum 7 years work experience
