The U.S. Mission in Quito, Ecuador is seeking eligible and qualified applicants for the position of CONSULAR ASSOCIATE in the CONSULAR SECTION.


Full-performance level: FP 06

Secret Security clearance

OPENING PERIOD: Open until filled. Next review of applications April 20, 2019 (17h00)

WORK HOURS: Full time 40 hours/week


Full-Performance: FP-06: US$48,135 p.a. (starting salary)

Developmental level: FP-07: US$43,031 p.a. (starting salary)

(one year based on qualifications)

*Final grade/step for EFMs will be determined by Washington.

START DATE: Position is expected to be open on or about June 28, 2019. The successful applicant should be available to enter on duty within 30 days of being notified that s/he has been selected and cleared for employment.

Incumbent will serve as a Consular Associate in the Quito Consular Section. Responsibilities will include work in the Nonimmigrant Visa Section, American Citizen Services, Fraud Prevention, and Correspondence Unit.
