About the role

The STAR programme in Ghana has a dual focus – catalysing the efforts of citizens towards systemic change on specific issues, and working towards the creation of a Ghanaian-run corporate entity to sustain support for these efforts beyond the life cycle of the programme. Within this framework, this role provides support in the development of high quality programmatic interventions, project monitoring and accompaniment to partner organisations, and thematic expertise in areas of accountability. The role will provide data and analysis of results achieved within a portfolio of programme activities.

The job holder will work closely with the Senior M and E Manager to support STAR-Ghana partners in  programme implementation, monitoring and evaluation, capturing  learning and reporting.  The Job holder will be expected to show experience and expertise in monitoring and evaluation with diverse civil society organisations. The job holder expecting to be familiar with working with civil society networks and coalitions. Ability to think strategically, plan, prioritise and implement multiple work tasks under tight timelines.

About you

We are looking forward to a candidate with;

Relevant university degree and at least 3-5 years experiences in monitoring and evaluation with proven technical expertise preferably in similar position. Must have excellent communication skills (written and verbal) in order to present information quickly and clearly to a variety of audiences, including the ability to communicate effectively in English.

Must have understanding of financial controls and procedures and an extensive understanding of programme cycle planning, implementing, monitoring and evaluating development projects.

Excellent facilitation skills and experience in delivering related training, network building and report writing for donors.
