Audit Senior – Bermuda
How would you feel about working in Bermuda by the end of the year? KPMG in Bermuda is currently looking for newly qualified Audit Seniors to work within either our Insurance or our Investments & Banking practice, commencing September 2010.

With a client base that includes Bermuda-based insurance, reinsurance and captive re/insurance companies, as well as international banks and a variety of investment funds, we’re looking for someone ready to handle a range of responsibilities, from planning engagements through to completion, and acting as the client’s primary point of contact. You’ll also receive valuable training in KPMG’s methodology, as well as U.S. GAAP and the local financial services industries.
Are you self-sufficient as well as a team player? Are you highly motivated and prepared to seize the opportunities that Bermuda has to offer culturally and socially as well as professionally? When you apply you’ll need to be exam-qualified (CA or ACA, with first-time passes) and currently working as an in-charge or lead auditor, and have proven interpersonal and coaching skills. Director, Risk & Compliance – Kuwait

Do you want to get the most out of your skills and experience? Are you ready to satisfy your ambition? KPMG in Kuwait are looking for a keen, determined professional to become Director, Risk & Compliance and work with our teams in Internal Audit and Risk Compliance Services and Accounting Advisory Services.

As Director, Risk & Compliance, you’ll be responsible for developing an IARCS and AAS team-strategy that will work in line with overall Advisory plans. You’ll be chasing market opportunities and driving the penetration of market across private and public sector organizations in order to grow business lines. You’ll also take full responsibility for Risk Compliance across all lines of business.

We need an expert on all matters regarding IARCS/AAS. You’ll also need both the ability to manage multiple teams and the initiative required to seek new clients and close business opportunities. We’re looking for someone with a recognized degree, ideally with a post-graduate qualification in finance, and who is both a qualified accountant ACCA/CA/CPA and a ‘Big 4’ Senior Manager/Director or similar, or else head of internal audit at a bank/insurance company/telco/large corporate. You’ll also need a thorough understanding of IFRS/GAAP.

Director, Performance & Technology – Kuwait

As Director, Performance & Technology, you will develop and implement a growth strategy for a range of specialist teams across the entire P&T department. Candidates must be a graduate, ideally with a MBA/Bachelor’s in a related field and with at least 15 years’ experience of working in the ITA/BPS field, of which at least seven years must have been spent in a strategy-focused executive-level position. Experience of selling ITA and BPS and/or consultancy is essential. You should also have proven experience in both business development and growth, and preferably extensive experience within a large consultancy company, ideally a ‘Big 4’ firm.

Manager, State and Local Tax – Stamford, Connecticut, USA

We can help you build your future and bring value to your career in tax. KPMG in the USA is currently seeking an experienced Tax Manager to join us in our Stamford, Connecticut office. Our State and Local Tax (SALT) practice needs more members to join their Income Franchise team and help clients reduce their tax liability while bolstering their bottom line.

As Manager, SALT, you’ll be helping multi-state companies with state and local tax issues, including compliance, advising, planning and controversies. Regarding controversies, you’ll be preparing clients for discussions with auditors, representing the client at hearings/appeal meetings and preparing protests. You’ll also participate in tax planning, drafting income and franchise tax memoranda, and the supervising, mentoring and developing of staff.

We need someone with demonstrated technical proficiency in state and local tax income/franchise taxation and at least five years’ experience at a law firm, certified public accounting firm or government firm. You’ll need outstanding income and franchise tax skills, as well as superb communication abilities and project/team management experience. You’ll also need a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and a CPA, Master’s degree in Tax or a law degree, all from an accredited college/university.
