Permanent management level position in the Telecommunication sector at Telkom Mobile in CENTURION in South Africa (Gauteng). Benefits: (market related) fringe benefits, such as Telephone Rebate.

Required qualification and experience: A relevant 3 year degree/diploma and 3 years telecommunication experience. Experience in the quality assurance field. Three years operational experience and 2 years managerial experience. Experience in budget preparation, as well as experience in managing staff and their performance.

Special requirement:

A valid driver’s license.

The incumbent will be responsible for setting quality measures for technical solutions and products before being operational. Perform routine quality checks on all mobile products, processes, as well as ensuring that end-user system standards are consistently of good quality.

The ideal candidate will have the following competencies:

* coordinate customer engineering / support systems
* design and set up project team in customer engineering / support
* maintain quality levels in customer engineering / support services
* use telecommunications support systems
* Technical & Test Equipment handling & Techniques

Experience

* managing a department
* analysing engineering problems in the telecommunications industry
* delivering support on telecommunications project implementations
* developing subordinates in customer engineering / support
* helping customers resolve their problems
* using telecommunications equipment and software

Knowledge

* fixed-line, wireless, satellite and cellular technologies
* industry trends in telecommunications
* the information technology industry
* customer engineering / support in the telecommunications industry
* technology and industry trends and developments
