IRC is looking for a Project Director to start up and oversee its urban WASH programs in Kenya in response to a USAID APS for improving the water supply and sanitation for Africa’s urban poor. IRC will be the lead agency in a consortium likely made up of IRC, CARE Kenya and the Umande Trust.
Responsibilities:
*
Oversee all aspects of project implementation (technical, financial, human resource and logistics), reporting to the IRC Kenya Country Director
*
Coordinate technical aspects of the project including water, waste disposal, hygiene, sanitation and mainstreaming of cross-cutting issues such as gender and HIV/AIDS
*
Provide technical oversight of all facets of the project to ensure consistent methodological approaches are used in line with best practices and lessons learned; share lessons learned with USAID and partners
