Job Summary
Responsible for inbound and outbound operations.This will include maintaining benchmark levels of safety, efficiency, quality, productivity, continuous improvement within the building and throughout the supply chain, and the hiring and development of team members. This leader will be hands-on in a start-up operation and will build and maintain relationships with the Abuja FC employees,  managers, partners, vendors, merchants, other FC teams and various departments and leadership of the company. This person will be someone who likes change and enjoys getting into the details to drive improvements every single day.  If you are looking for an 8-5 job, this is not for you.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities/ Core Accountabilities
Building the initial teams, establishing procedures, metrics and processes
Lead and supervise a team of Fulfilment Officers, Admin Officers, Fulfilment Drivers & Riders, etc.
Develop and administer operational procedures for perfectly executing activities for incoming and outgoing shipments, handling and disposition of products, and keeping the highest standards of inventory accuracy
Develop and maintain a safe work environment
Responsible for achieving all operational goals
Ability to reward and recognize performance and execute on progressive discipline as needed
Mentor, train and develop teammates for career progression and learning
Ability to develop and share best practices across the shifts and organization
Create a positive team dynamic that encourages all employees in the FC to work in the “Glootian mode,” adapt to the ever-changing business, and stay focused on the customer experience
Drive continuous improvement to safety, quality, cost, and delivery while growing and expanding capabilities within the warehouse
Utilize the site Frontend and Backend Systems to optimize perfect order fulfillment and provide operational insights to improve effectiveness of these systems.
Job Requirements
Required Experience: 3-5 year(s)
Qualifications
1st degree or equivalent additional experience
4+ years of management experience in fulfillment center/warehouse operations (prefer retail/e-commerce experience). Previous experience as branch manager in a retail food chain or supermarket chain in Nigeria will be a very clear advantage
Proven ability to effectively motivate, develop, and manage 25+ employees.
At least 3 years of management experience in Receiving, Inventory Control, and/or Order Fulfillment
Experience with building or improving inventory management, order management, and warehouse management systems and processes
Excitement for working in a start-up environment with relatively high level of ambiguity and change
Strong project management and continuous improvement skills
Metrics driven mindset
Customer service obsession, with willingness to do whatever it takes to satisfy customer needs
Effective communicator and leader for employees, direct reports, cross-functional teams and executive leadership
Proven ability to quickly adapt and drive the right results using data
Experience in the use of operational excellence process improvement
Highest levels of integrity and ethics
Must be flexible to work weekends and/or nightshifts
