ActionAid (AA) Nigeria is seeking the services of a Website Developer to provide technical support for Website Migration towards the complete set-up of a Feminist Hub for the Women’s Voice and Leadership Project. This is part of efforts to create access to a repository of data and information on Gender and Women’s Rights for Local Women’s Rights Organizations in Nigeria.

Project Overview:  Goal(s) and Outcome(s)

The Women’s Voice and Leadership Nigeria Project is a $9.7 million five-year Global Affairs Canada development assistance programme in Nigeria. The goal is to support the capacity and activities of local women’s organizations and movements seeking to empower women and girls, advance the protection of women’s and girls’ rights and achieve gender equality in the country. This will be done through provision of multiple layers of funding and targeted/tailored capacity building support to these organisations.

In order to make this project accessible to all, the project incorporates the use of technology and media to create and spread messages to Women’s Rights organizations, women and girls and other stakeholders thereby contributing to a greater project reach and impact. To this end, the project committed to the establishment of a Feminist Hub which will serve as a repository of information/data on women and girls rights. The hub will be designed to be accessible to all categories of people and will support the learning needs of women and girls, and organizations that are programming on women and girls’ rights to access information on all critical areas of gender and women’s rights.

Audience

Target audience/s

The target audience for the Feminist Hub include Local Women’s Rights Organizations, Networks, Movements, Women, and Girls. The Feminist Hub/Website should be accessible, user-friendly, and easy to navigate.

Experience

Experienced in Software Design and Development especially in the development sector.

Payment:

The consultant shall be paid in line with negotiated amount. ActionAid is under Nigerian tax laws obliged to deduct 5% withholding tax on the payment and transmit same to the tax authorities in favour of the consultant.

Reporting Lines

The selected consultant shall submit all documentation and resources developed to the Information, Communication, and Technology Coordinator (ICT) of AAN.

Submission of expression of interest

The selected Website Developer will sign a contract with AAN and is responsible for acquiring other relevant tools needed for the task. Interested persons are invited to apply by sending a CV detailing competency, links to sample of past works, and any other relevant information, demonstrating skill and experience in this area. Applicants should include invoice detailing daily rate.
