Job Position: REASEARCH PROGRAMME MANAGER
 Mission
 Invigorate and support WAI research activity, fostering and facilitating the presence of researchers and civil society in regional integration programmes in West Africa:

 Promote reflection on long term development perspectives  and put at researchers’ disposal the important tools for understanding the current problems to be solved in favour of the regional integration in West Africa;
 Promote data collection in relation to social policies and integration applied towards the sub-region and analyse them in terms of its equity and efficiency;
 Promote dialogue between researchers, university students and political decision-makers, both at regional and national levels;
 Develop the first five-year programme for research, training, public debate and dissemination of WAI projects and activities, in the six months immediately after the recruitment.
Applicant’s profile:
▪ Must hold a PhD in social sciences and humanities;
▪ Have at least 5 years post doctoral experience in research;
▪ Be author or co-author of scientific and relevant publications;
▪ Have the ability to promote and manage research strategies in science or technology;
▪ Proficient in French, English and Portuguese;
▪ Computer proficient;
▪ Be originated from an ECOWAS country or its Diaspora.

The selection procedure comprises the following phases (all have an eliminatory nature):
 Curricular assessment
 Filtering tests
 Skill assessment
 Final situational interview (face to face)
