Location: Cairo, Egypt

Salary: The total salary is composed of 2 elements; a local salary plus a sterling supplement. Local salary (to be paid into local bank account) is on a 4 point scale between LE 110,564 - LE 127,440 annually.

Job summary

British Council Egypt is looking to recruit a full-time project manager to run an English language and professional skills development centre for undergraduates and staff of the Cairo University Petroleum Geosciences degree course. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a 3 year project funded by BG Egypt as part of a social investment initiative and aims to enhance the employability skills of Cairo University graduates.

The post holder will manage the following aspects of the project to the satisfaction of all stakeholders:

TKT training and ongoing development for 10 local teachers who will deliver the undergraduate programme
A core undergraduate ELT and professional skills development programme
Training for academic staff to ensure the delivery of the Petroleum Geosciences degree course in English
Prepare programme handover to local management by September 2012
The successful applicant will demonstrate the following skills and experience:

Operational management including timetable, HR and financial management
Experience in designing customised ELT and professional skills development programmes
Project planning and delivery
Team working
Marketing communications
Managing relationships with corporate clients and higher education institutions
Teacher training/development experience
