ZAIN1145 - Customer Care Executive - Activation (6 months contract)


Business Unit: Zain Kenya Division: Sales
Location: Kenya - Nairobi Closing Date: 07-Aug-2009
Basic Purpose:

*
Capture information for new customers in the system and stimulate the speed of the registration and contract modifications. Provides initial support for customer inquiries received via telephone or written correspondence and escalates those that are beyond own area of expertise. Receives and records customer information into customer management systems. Controls the quality of activations and modifications done at Zain and Distributor Shops.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

Receive and respond to incoming calls and take ownership of any issue raised until resolution is achieved :

* Responds to calls and identifies the customers needs
* Provides information or solutions to queries raised by the customers
* Records Customer information on the activation log sheets
* Monitors own performance against set targets (KPI's) and takes remedial action where the performance falls short

Activate subscriber numbers on the prepaid and postpaid billing systems:

* Checks the availability of mobile and simcard numbers that are requested by customers for both the prepaid and postpaid system
* Books subscriber numbers on the Service Data point, in the case of prepaid activations
* Activates subscriber numbers in accordance with Company policy and Revenue Assurance guidelines
* Prepares files for batch activation whenever required and sends these to IT for action
* Continuously checks every transaction done and reconciles with the billing system and HLR to ensure accuracy and consistency

Resolve Customer queries:


* Resolves all escalated activation queries received from sales, the customer care frontline team and customers
* Updates the Customer on progress and or communicate solutions
* Escalates customer queries that cannot be solved on 1st contact to the escalations team
* Follows up with the relevant parties, obtains solutions and communicates to the customer

Maintain records and generate reports:

* Prepares daily individual performance activity reports
* Files the work done into the respective files on a daily basis

Competencies & Qualifications:

Qualifications

* University degree or equivalent
* Over 2 years experience in Call Centre
* Able to handle, prioritize, multiple projects simultaneously
* IT literacy
* Able to operate in a performance driven organisation
* Knowledge of English and Swahili

Basic Purpose:

Implementation of the Environmental and Social Management Plan (ESMP),and report annual company performance and compliance KPI's
Main Duties & Responsibilities:

Implement, monitor and review ESMP

Verifiable site acquisition, construction and safety forms
* Verifiable site maintenance forms
* Genset Noise Reports
* PCB test reports
* ODS - equipment validation reports

Report Zain ESMP annual performance to local Board & Zain group

*
Checklist on Top Management contribution/General operations

Checklist on Site acquisition, construction & operation
*
Checklist on annual EHS audits & report submissions to local Board

Submit Zain local KPI's to Zain group

* General network operations & Social Projects
* Reports on compliance with Kenyan environmental laws/regulations
* Management Capability to implement ESMP
* Environmental & Social Monitoring data
* Health & Safety Monitoring data
* Fire Safety Monitoring data
* Solid & Hazardous Waste Generation & Disposal

Coordinate Environmental & Safety training for company staff as well as procurement/ hiring of ESMP equipment for environmental monitoring

Conduct Environmental Impact Assessment studies and submit EIS/EPB reports to appropriate ministry-council for site construction permits

ZAIN1139 - Regional Sales Manager - Nairobi West


Business Unit: Zain Kenya Division: Sales
Location: Kenya - Nairobi Closing Date: 07-Aug-2009
Basic Purpose:

Manages and supports Zain distributors and staff within the designated region by coordinating all planned segments and interdepartmental activities in order to maximize sales revenues, grow market share, foster distributor effectiveness and meet distribution channel sales objectives for the region. Maintains knowledge of and reports of new developments in the marketplace with regards to distributors and competition.
Main duties & responsibilities:
Design and implement the regional sales plan in line with distribution segment strategy:

* Translates the quarterly sales and revenue targets into comprehensive action plans that ensure their achievement
* Develops and implements route and call plans
* Monitors performance against plans and targets and takes remedial action in cases of shortfalls
* Maintains sales records and prepares sales reports as required
* Continuously promotes Zain 's products and services with a view to increase subscriber numbers and achieve revenue targets

Coordinate sales and distribution activities within the region:

* Continually monitors the availability of Zain products in the region
* Supports and participates in the distribution of branding and promotional materials
* Mobilizes staff to support the implementation of sales promotions and other projects within the region
* Identifies requirements for trade promotions within the region and shares with sales and marketing management
* Monitors and supervises promotional activities in the region and reports/redresses any problems noted
* Monitors and reports on competitor activities within the region and reports for action

Manage, co-ordinate and support distributors, dealers and other partners:

* Identifies and recommends prospective dealers/partners to head office for consideration
* Participates in the setting of targets for dealers/partners
* Communicates the targets and obtains the commitment to the target of the dealer/partner
* Monitors dealers'/partners' purchases and performance against sales targets on a weekly and monthly basis
* In cases of shortfalls, investigates the cause and works with the dealers/partners to develop and implement remedial actions including coaching and working alongside dealer/partner staff
* Motivates, develops and trains dealers/partners on existing and new Zain products
* Manages the flow of information between dealers/partners and Zain

Prepare reports for management review as per the reporting calendar:

* Generates weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports on the sales trends in the region
* Generates weekly reports on dealer/partner performance

Manage, develop and motivate staff:

* Participates in the recruitment and selection of Territory Sales Executives
* Trains and sets targets according to the sales and distribution projection
* Monitors performance against targets and put in place remedial measures where required
* Manages staff discipline

Qualifications:

* 5-8 years with University Degree in business, sales, or marketing or equivalent training in business or sales management; 3-6 years with Advanced Degree
* Good knowledge of channel, indirect sales, direct sales, and selling skills
