The Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria (SMEDAN) was established by an ACT of the National Assembly to coordinate, promote and facilitate the development of the micro, small, medium enterprises in NigeriaThe Agency is hereby inviting applications from candidates suitable, qualified and competent for appointment into this position below:CATEGORY A

DIRECTOR: (GL 17) FINANCE AND ACCOUNTS

JOB TITLE: Head (Finance & Accounts Department)

Reporting to: Director-General (SMEDAN)
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    * Oversee the Agency’s financial management system and Accounts
    * Budget preparation
    * Investment portfolio Management
    * Financial statement preparation
    * Sourcing and disbursement of funds
    * Revenue Management

BASIC QUALIFICATION

    * Candidates must possess a good first degree or its equivalent with a minimum of 2nd Class/lower division In any of the following disciplines , Accounting, Social Sciences or Managements sciences;
    * Relevant post graduate degree will be an added advantage

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

    * Candidate must have a minimum of twenty (20) years post NYSC cognate working experience;
    * Must be a member of a recognized Accounting body;
    * Must have knowledge of public sector Accounting for not less than 10 years
    * Must show ability to proactively manage the Finance and Account outfit
    * Must demonstrate understanding of the MSME sector.
    * Candidates must not be above 50 years

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

    * Computer literacy, Excellent leadership and financial management skills
    * Understand workings of relevant international organization, Donor Agency and ability to source and invest funds

CONDITIONS OF SERVICE

    * The tenure for the position of Director is for a maximum of 8years in line with Federal Government Policy
    * Successful candidates could be posted to any part of the Country.
