As Head of Profession, Procurement you will lead the DFID procurement/ commercial community and create a cohesive and capable function distributed throughout DFID irrespective of location. You will continue to develop the central procurement team as DFID’s centre of procurement excellence and you will lead the re-organisation and re-shaping of the procurement profession within DFID. You will create the right balance between the central procurement team within DFID’s Finance and Corporate Performance Division (currently around 35), and a developing network of procurement professionals across the organisation in the UK and overseas.

This is a permanent position within ISD’s technical Change, Configuration, Release Management (CCRM) and Testing function. The postholder will be responsible for routine testing of changes to DFID’s ICT software and hardware estate and contribute to / carry out new testing processes following the implementation of DFID’s Test Strategy. The postholder will be required to draft and follow test scripts and document test results as part of the Service Transition process. They will work closely with all areas of ISD during the testing phases of projects and enhancements to DFID’s desktop applications before implementation to live.

Head of Management Accounting
This is a newly formed key role responsible for management accounting within DFID. The post is responsible to the Deputy Director of Finance and Corporate Performance. The job holder will lead the ongoing development and implementation of a new management accounting service within DFID. This will include leading the delivery of all management accounting information to our Management Board including budget setting, periodic management reports, providing advice and guidance on business performance and promoting a new climate of budgetary control and accountability within a period of rapid change. The postholder will also play a key role in ensuring our new global management information system is embedded in accounting operations and will help to promote the key benefits and guide operating departments in obtaining the best results possible.

Management Accountant
This post is responsible to the Senior Management Accountant. The primary role of the job is to provide an efficient and effective service delivering timely and accurate management accounting information including preparing budgets and estimates, producing periodic management reports, supporting the production of the year end final accounts and to promote budgetary control and accountability within DFID.
