Nuclear Decommissioning Environmental Assessments
The NDA, Nuclear Decommissioning Authority, is a public body charged with ensuring the safe, accelerated and affordable clean up of the UK’s civil nuclear legacy. The work we do is of vital importance and has positive long-term implications for the environment.
This role, within the Radioactive Waste Management Directorate offers the opportunity to be involved in the environmental assessments and sustainability appraisals for the development of a geological disposal facility for radioactive waste.
You’ll be required to fully understand the implications and needs of communities involved by working in partnership with them.
We are seeking a seasoned professional with significant experience of managing and coordinating environmental assessments and sustainability appraisals. You are likely to have gained this on a large engineering / construction project utilising your project management expertise and Prince2 or equivalent methodologies. Working with stakeholders, understanding the relevant legal requirements and managing contracts will be elements of the knowledge you’ll bring to the role, together with sensitive communication and negotiating skills and the ability to condense information and research into coherent reports.
