Job Description
JOB PURPOSE


To drive sales and profit growth of key responsibility brands in Egypt by driving market share gain and customer satisfaction. . The jobholder will ensure pre-launch and launch activities are optimal across Egypt. The role will also seek to maximize the existing portfolio. The jobholder manages a team of Product Managers who will each work on several Therapy Areas/Brands.

§ Maximise the success of brands and contribute proactively to the development of a Disease Area vision and strategy.
§ Create a commercialisation strategy for brands that is aligned with the global strategy.
§ Optimise resources across the business and the brands to deliver against the strategy.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES


• Establish a Strategic direction over 5 year time through the annual business review process to optimise long term contribution of brand
• Lead the delivery of high quality strategic plans, launch plans, business action plans and campaign plan in close collaboration
• Drive and support ambitious and customer focused brand plans
• Ensure 3 year forecasts are of high standard using the appropriate model
• Contribute to the development and implementation of market access strategy plan
• Provide active input into the development and review of AZ Egypt launch plans
• Launch plan reviews, on the job coaching, sharing best practise.
• Actively work with AZ Egypt Management Team to resolve product implementation issues.
• Encourage a network of marketing interaction within the region with the central Commercial Functions.
• Provide challenge to ensure brand performance is maximized e.g. during the Strategy Review Process, Budget collation and approval, Product Launch sign-off and other Regional Meetings.
• Take overall responsibility for the implementation of Market Training activities within Egypt identifying needs and sourcing content and delivery support from the Regional Marketing Training Group and external sources.
• Lead portfolio optimization activities across and within Egypt.
• Line management of Product Managers.
• Implement Phase IV studies for mega brands to support brand commercialization.
• Ensure safety compliance of all MC activities in Egypt.
• In coordination with Egypt sales maintain contact with KOLs and industry influencers
• Participate in Egypt and Area sales meetings providing marketing perspective.
• Manage the rolling sales forecast across Egypt.
• Track and analyze competitive activity, proposing appropriate market responses.
• Performs other duties as assigned

Skills
QUALIFICATION / EXPERIENCE:

• The individual should have extensive and up-to-date marketing experience and knowledge of the Egyptian Pharmaceutical market.
• Life Sciences University Degree
• Qualification in marketing is an asset
• Strong commercial background in the pharmaceutical industry ensuring up to date practical marketing knowledge
• 5 years Marketing/Product Manager experience, and min 3 years Sales experience required
• Have experience with pre-launch, launch and established brands.
• Have ability to influence successfully within Egypt and with the central commercial functions.
• Significant leadership profile and line management experience.
• Well-developed communication skills. Fluent in written and spoken English and Arabic.

• Knowledge of the pharmaceutical market and awareness of competitive product (development) activities
• Basic knowledge of health economics
