Description
You will be Responsible for ensuring that supported systems (including Mediation and Revenue Assurance)
fulfill business needs, by applying a blend of systems analysis, design, development and troubleshooting skills in order to satisfy a range of responsibilities detailed below.
This is a role within the IT Development department representing the key point of contact for Mediation and Revenue Assurance customer support tasks. You will also be a key player in fulfilling the company's desire to become a global powerhouse in the IT Services industry.
Responsibilities
Take a lead in the analysis of business requirements and translation of requirements into solution designs and functional specifications.
Provide customer support and act as single point of contact for Mediation and Revenue Assurance application.
Provide support to development teams located in different geographies (onshore and multiple offshore environments)
Be the technical lead and primary development point of contact for the offshore 4th line support team.
Responsible for capacity planning of Mediation and Revenue Assurance applications.
Provide input to Mediation and Revenue Assurance system roadmaps and strategy to ensure alignment with the business strategy and long-term goals.
Assist in the maintenance of the Mediation and Revenue Assurance systems using the applicable tools, methods and procedures
Provide guidance and tutoring to junior members of staff.
Contribute and support to the formulation of enterprise wide initiatives
Qualifications
Strong Experience in;
- requirements gathering and solution designing Mediation and Revenue Assurance systems for a major telecom provider
- managing Mediation and Revenue Assurance systems for a major telecom provider with customer interaction
- 'C' programming, UNIX and SQL
Experience in software development life cycle and configuration management tools
Demonstrable knowledge of the issues surrounding a large scale Mediation and Revenue Assurance and related systems deployment
Demonstrable team or technical team leadership, including working in an offshore/outsource model
Specific experience on Intec Intermediate mediation application
Experience with the Revenue Assurance product, 'RevenueOffice' supplied by 'WeDo' Technologies
Product vendor management and outsource development team management
Understanding of Project Management methodologies
Personal Characteristics
Strong analytical & problem solving skills
Multiple Project environment & full Development Project life-cycle experience
Capable of interfacing with Clients and User Community
Motivated self-starter, proactive, hard working and able to learn new technical skills quickly
A team player able to mentor and train junior staff
Strong analytical & problem solving, interpersonal / communication skills
Academic Background
Educated to Degree level or equivalent
