DEVELOPMENT MANAGER (NXT-PG 1_DVM)
Location: Lagos
Job description
o To coordinate all business development and research activities required to provide necessary information to support business decisions for our clients.
o To carry out sales and market research activities, including market analysis and create reports for executive decision making.
o To provide support duties to the Executive Management and see to the execution of the company’s corporate strategy as well as supervise the business development process.
Responsibilities
o The development of operational frameworks to guide the activities of strategic planning, the development of real estate schemes and sales activities.
o Actively participating in the development and articulation of the company’s business and functional strategic plans, as well as a performance management framework with regard to the development and sales of residential and commercial real estate properties.
o Oversees the development of long and short term business goals, objectives and targets as part of the planning and budgeting process.
o Develop and implement strategic plans for the identification of business opportunities within the company’s identified/defined markets.
o Initiate and implement development proposals for the market segments identified by the company.
o Acts as an advisor and strategist to the Executive Management providing needed support to the strategic decision making process.
o Develops timelines for the delivery of real estate projects/schemes in conjunction with all business/operating units.
o Communicates key information to all stakeholders across the company as regards marketplace needs, the competitive environment, cost management, company’s strategic outlook, etc.
o Based on depth of knowledge of different markets and opportunities, articulates and recommends market entry and exit strategies, based on environmental and industry competitive dynamics.
o Conducts economic, commercial, technical, financial reviews for implementing/driving business initiatives, as well as determining the most viable locations for establishing various real estate schemes.
o Responsible for commissioned market surveys not just in Lagos, but across the nation.
o Other responsibilities as may be delegated by the Executive Management.
Qualifications & Experience
o A good first/university degree in built-environment disciplines or other relevant disciplines.
o Demonstrated experience of not less than seven (7) years in handling similar responsibilities.
o Demonstration of sound knowledge and skills in development of business proposals and in organisation and leading of sales channels.
o Sound knowledge of real estate markets.
o Experience and ability to commission market surveys.
o Experience in developing concepts, proposals and strategies and their implementation. o A post graduate degree (e.g. MBA) from a reputable university.
