 Finance Lead
Assist Business Manager in the development of day to day internal controls processes to support accounting needs. Interface with 3rd party financial back office service provider on behalf of Company. Assist in the development of the Finance and Accounting organizational capability of the Company.
Job Responsibilities:
- Establish all financial control and accounting systems, processes and procedures required by the Company to perform its initial (Day1) Activities. Company activities during this period would include but not be limited to recruiting and training of Company Staff (Angolans and Expats), operations planning, workforce development, IT and SAP planning and implementation, technical and infrastructure plans
- Assist with the Company's planning including interfacing with the Business Enterprise Coordinator, reporting, processes and business enterprise system evaluation and recommendation. Coordinate directly with the Business Process and Information Systems Specialist to develop the detailed design and implementation to support establishing the Company's stand-alone financial accounting capability
- Manage interface with Back Office Accounting service provider; monitoring accounts payable, treasury, internal controls and compliance and financial reporting activities. Liaise between the Company approvers and service provider providing interface and managing all relevant work processes to support these activities.
Requirements:
- The position is a residential (5-2) position in Angola.
- Minimum 10 years experience working in finance/accounting department preferably in the upstream or midstream business; preferably with a broad range of accounting experience (accounts payable, fixed assets, cash management, treasury, tax)
- Extensive operations accounting knowledge and experience (>10 years) with all aspects of oil and gas accounting functions (incl. accounts payable, receivable, fixed assets, treasury, audit/controls, compliance, revenue accounting, P&L/income/cash/balance sheet, tax)
- Proficiency with enterprise accounting systems, preferably SAP; able to use if required as well as objectively evaluate and assess for application in new organizations
- Bachelors Degree required
- Must speak Portuguese; must be capable of expressing thoughts clearly and concisely verbally and in writing. |
